What is Value Engineering (VE) ? It begins by working closely with the Architect, Builder, and Homeowner as your window & door liaison utilizing our knowledge and experience. VE is a solution based service we provide on every job designed to uncover needs, wants, and desires while achieving budget. Our sales consultants are trained to methodically read plans, evaluate design & construction needs, ascertain budget requirements, ascertain code and product functionality, and provide value added product solutions. The ABSi VE service is a systematic and organized approach to provide the necessary features and product on a project at the best possible value. engineeringValue engineering promotes the exchange of features with alternatives, without sacrificing functionality, design integrity, or construction integrity. VE alternates generally increase value, increase curb appeal, enhance design elements and aesthetics, attain budget, and provide equal or better performance. ABSi does all of this not just to quote a job, but to sell the job correctly. It generally requires a substantial investment of intellectual property and valuable time, but the reward of a satisfied customer is well worth it. Summarized; Value engineering is when a set of construction drawings or plans are given to a ABSi window & door consultant and based on vast knowledge and experience they suggest alternate window & door features or products than what is shown on the design drawings in an effort to increase value and functionality with the goal of having an end product that doesn't violate design integrity and is 'as good as if not more valuable' than what was designed in the first place. Also called value analysis.

Allen has worked with an important client of mine over the past two years and his involvement has been outstanding. From the initial meeting at the showroom with the client (on a Saturday when they were normally closed) through the intricacies of ordering, his participation in the delivery, and follow up on site with dealing with missing parts or issues with the manufacturer, Allen has been there helping. Unfortunately, we have has some issues with the Western Window product. Allen has been at every meeting and involved with all aspects of the evaluation and repair. He was even working with the technicians from Western during the repairs. I have never, in almost 30 years as an Architect and years in the construction field before that, worked with a better salesperson in any area of construction.
